Supabox review: 6/10 in Sep 2025 | Best newcomer you need to try

We were invited to test Supabox.com , a new mystery box site launched in beta mode in August 2025. We’ve tested numerous mystery box websites, and let me tell you, Supabox is different in many aspects.

It’s important to note that they’re currently in beta mode, and have very strict geofencing at the moment. Currently they’re available in Germany.

Things might change rapidly.

We’ve spoken with Eric, the CMO of Supabox, to get some better understanding of their goals, timelines and vision.

But first things first…

What is Supabox and how does it work?

Supabox offers digital mystery boxes with real, claimable prizes.

You do not receive a cardboard box via mail.

Instead, you can arrange delivery for any physical win unboxed online. The excitement unfolds on screen, then you choose what to have delivered, or exchanged back to the site.

Users pick boxes that suit their taste and budget. They’re using a token system for legal reasons, which also makes it harder to track expenses. This is common. Established competitors like Cases.gg and Jemlit follow a similar approach, so nothing to worry. At the time of this writing, one token equals $0.10. They call it "Supagold" according to their FAQs .

Most prizes ship from official vendors or StockX partners, which supports authenticity. It is planned that new users receive a free mystery box at signup.

Currently, they offer 18 boxes, mainly focused on niche products and collectibles. Boxes include a box themed around Anime, a Pokemon mystery box and couple of fan merch themed boxes.

We asked Eric, CMO of Supabox, about planned boxes. He assured us, “we're going to be offering exclusive prizes that are hard, if not impossible, to get elsewhere. An example of this is a custom Supercar where the manufacturer can provide the final product in 2 months instead of the usual 24.”

Also he assured us, “Every box contains an item, and every item is actually worth having. We will never give someone a sticker for opening a $100 box. ”

That’s huge if true. Especially within the category of luxury mystery boxes, this could make them a significant competitor to LuxDrop or Rillabox.

The worst product we’ve found in their boxes are a mug and a C-3PO LEGO minifigure. If you ask me, definitely better than those $1 vouchers and stickers on other sites.

Here’s how you unbox your first box:

• ->To get a nice head start, check out our Supabox promo codes and sign up through them.

• ->Deposit via Zen. Always start with a small amount to get yourself familiar with the process. Don’t forget you’ll receive tokens instead of fiat. Payments are smooth. Options include PayPal, Google Pay, cards, and local methods. If you used our Supabox promo codes, you should receive a nice bonus on top.

To confirm your payment, you need to enter some personal details. According to their FAQs, these might get more serious up to a full KYC check for larger sums.

• ->Check out their collection of boxes. Select a box that appeals to you. Options include a Star Wars box at $25 or a Pokemon box at $11. Nostalgic choices are welcome.
• ->I like the Pokemon box, so I chose to open the box with my deposited credits. The reveal may show digital credit, a gift card, or a physical prize. In my first trial, I got a Pokémon TCG Japanese Cyber Judge Booster Pack. The unboxing experience differs a lot to competitors.

• ->If the prize does not match your style, you can sell it back for Supagold. In my example, just 66 in total. The resale value is lower than retail but helps cushion losses.
• ->Crypto withdrawals remain unavailable.
• ->After you secure a prize you appreciate, you may order delivery or add to your balance. Make sure they’re delivering to your location before signing up. According to their Terms of Service, they’re currently just delivering to around 20 countries.
• ->In order to have items delivered, you're required to confirm your identity.

• ->Unfortunately, you are required to pay another fee to have your items delivered. This makes the whole process very inconvenient. This fee is required to be paid directly via Zen, so you cannot use your existing tokens. Being required to pay a $4 delivery fee on a $6 product is not common and should be communicated earlier.

Box openings are the main focus; no tournaments or extra game modes exist at this stage.

Third-party reviews are few and Reddit discussions are sparse. They’re having a lively Discord.

You clearly see the odds for all products within a box.

A RTP (Return to Player) indicator would be nice to see, to understand the risk of each box.

Based on our experience, it’s a always a bit better to go more for the pricier boxes, as they cater to different users. Cheap boxes tend to create an affordable entry point, while expensive boxes are supposed to keep users hooked with quality products.

Is Supabox legit or a scam?

It’s always important to do your own research, and check multiple sources before committing to any mystery box site.

Based on our checklist of red flags of mystery box sites, we assume they’re legit... but we must admit they're applying lots of deceptive practices.

It's good they use Zen.com as their payment processor, formerly known as G2A Pay. This collaboration offers many local payment options. Zen is by far the most common provider for mystery box sites. We’d love to see Kinguin or G2A in the future as well. Allowing card payments indicates they didn't have lots of of chargebacks yet.

We could reach their support easily and received fast responses.

In our tests, the website works as expected and advertised.

On the other hand, they're not disclosing hefty delivery fees, strict KYC requirements and use a token system that makes it hard to track expenses accurately. Their provably fair page is not really easy to understand for first-timers, through they use an industry common alogorithm.

It is easy to understand who's behind Supabox, which is another positive indicator.

Who's behind Supabox?

Supabox is operated by Supabox LTD, registed in No 59 Makarios Avenue in Larnaca in Cyprus. According to North Data, the company is owned by two individuals: Cristiano Acconci and Eric Biggs.

Eric told us:

"In terms of name recognition, Tim [Tepass] is probably the best person to look at for this. We are backed by Play Ventures and MVP Founders (Which Tim is a part of) so from a reputation standpoint we should stand on solid ground."

As far as we're aware, Tim Tepass advises the company in different aspects. He helped build Time2Play, which sold to GiG for roughly $35 million in 2023. His background in product and growth supports the platform's development and shows his informed perspective.

MVP Founders is a startup accelerator based in Berlin. Play Ventures is a VC located in Singapur, investing in early stage consumer-facing tech products.

This is big green flag. Compared to many other mystery box sites, it's clear to see who's behind the company.

My experience with Supabox and why I think it's worth it trying them out

Supabox is an early platform, and I like what I've seen so far.

There are couple of drawbacks, but it's the earliest platform we've ever reviewed here on BetterChecked. This gives unique chances to literally help designing the platform from the very beginning.

They're actively looking for customer feedback to understand where to head next with their roadmap.

Apart from that, the website is easily usable and bug free.

Unboxing is easy and smooth.

I've unboxed a couple of mystery boxes on Supabox. Within the inventory, you can retrospectively verify your unboxings were actually fair.

I used both a laptop and a phone to test Supabox. The layout felt clean and approachable. Attention to detail shows that the team values quality.

Delivery confirmations were missing after placing orders. This raised concerns during my trial. Third-party shipment verification would boost user confidence.

Support through Discord and email responded promptly. There is no live chat or phone support, which can delay urgent resolutions.

After weighing the pros and cons, one pattern emerges. Gamers and anime fans who favor budget boxes will appreciate the platform.

Users active in online communities will like the Discord chats and bonus offerings. Those seeking guaranteed profit might have different expectations, as this is luck-based entertainment rather than a savings plan.

High-rollers and crypto gamblers will not be happy here. Users looking for hypebeast mystery boxes or designer mystery boxes neither.

The service makes no guarantees against losses. Set a clear budget and limits before participating.

Overall I enjoy using Supabox, and we are very excited what will come in the future.

What I'm missing on Supabox

We need to be fair here... they're still in beta mode. Things are not finished yet, but there are some serious elements missing.

• ->No clear communication regarding KYC requirements and delivery fees. It feels like they're trying to make the cashout / delivery process as difficult as possible. Compared to platforms like Cases.gg or Upgrader, where payouts are super smooth and near instant, this is a major drawback. This gives the whole site a little shady feeling... requiring a $4 delivery fee, for a $6 item, which I unboxed in a $11 box, is not fair.
• ->In 2025, mystery box sites live from the social elements and game modes. The boxes are nice, but only lay the foundation for many other games. Game modes are absent, so battles, jackpots, or side games are not offered. Upgrade options have not yet been implemented. I hope we see public chats and player vs player modes.
• ->The unboxing animation is interesting, but not really building up tension. In my personal opinion, it looks rather cheap.

• ->Available items and boxes are super limited at the moment.
• ->Self-exclusion tools are not yet available, so set your own limits.
• ->The range of product categories appears narrow. Fashion, home goods, and high-end tech items are scarce. RTP details are missing, along with delivery confirmations and third-party shipment proofs.
• ->Social proof remains minimal. There are few Trustpilot reviews and limited discussion on Reddit.
• ->Cryptocurrency withdrawals are unavailable while competitors offer KYC-less instant options.

I'm sure there's great potential, and they've built a solid starting point.
