HypeDrop is the biggest name here and the thinnest on Pokémon. Both things are true.

4.0 on Trustpilot from 1,745 reviews, and the site that popularised battles, levels and daily free boxes. But there is no Pokémon catalog to speak of.

What there is instead is Rip, the Pokémon and trading card dealer inside Black Market, which launched in May 2026.

Black Market is a negotiation. You pick a dealer, set an offer amount, then accept or reject items one at a time until the dealer runs out of offers. Reject the wrong one and it is gone for good.

Rip is the mildest of the four dealers: volatility 2 out of 5, five offers a round, $1,500 maximum bet, x750 top multiplier. Minimum bet is $0.10.

Most “Pokémon mystery box” pages still list physical boxes you order and then wait a fortnight for. These seven are different.

How Pokémon pack opening sites work

You deposit, pick a box, and an animation rolls to one item from that box’s drop table. The card you land on is real and physically sitting in a warehouse.

Then you choose. Withdraw it and they mail it to you, or sell it back for site credit and open the next one.

That sell-back button is the whole difference from ordering a sealed box off a shop. You never have to take delivery of a card you did not want.

It is also exactly why the loop is so easy to keep feeding. The budget you set before you start is the only thing that stops it.

One more thing worth understanding: these boxes are not sealed product in the normal sense. A $3 Prismatic Evolutions box on one site and a $3 one on another can hold completely different cards at completely different odds, because each site writes its own table.

Mystery boxes, packs or pack opening — what to call it

Same product, three names.

PackDraw and Pullbox.gg sell packs. Boxed.gg and RillaBox sell boxes. LuxDrop calls them digital packs. And the phrase most people still type into Google is “Pokémon mystery box”.

Nothing mechanical changes between them. You pay, a drop table resolves, you get one card.

The one real split is what sits inside. A pack on PackDraw or Pullbox usually means sealed product, like a factory-sealed booster box or an Evolving Skies six-pack case. A box on Boxed.gg or LuxDrop usually means singles, raw or slabbed by PSA.

Sealed is a lottery ticket you can resell unopened. A graded single is a known card at a known grade. Pick which one you actually want before you pick a site.

And keep mystery pack apps in a separate mental box. Those rip a genuine sealed pack on camera and post you whatever falls out. The pack opening sites here hold stock in a warehouse, and the “pack” is a drop table rather than a physical pack being opened for you. Same feeling, different product, very different odds.

How Pokémon mystery boxes decide what is inside

Every box is a fixed list of items, each with a published percentage, and the percentages add to 100.

When you open, the site draws a number and maps it onto that list. Nothing about the physical card influences the draw. Whoever built the box set the odds, and that is the end of it.

The figure under the odds is usually RTP, the average share of the box price that comes back as item value over many opens. A 95% RTP box returns $95 of value per $100 spent, on average, spread extremely unevenly. Most of that value is parked in chase cards almost nobody hits. That is not a scandal, it is just how the maths works.

The draw itself is provably fair on all seven. You supply a client seed, the site commits to a hashed server seed before the roll, fresh entropy goes on top, and afterwards you can replay the combination and confirm nothing moved. Run this list before you deposit anywhere. It is the difference between a fun afternoon and a long email thread with support.

• The drop table, card by card. Boxed.gg and Pullbox.gg print odds beside every card. A box that hides its table is not worth opening.

Watch live unboxings before you spend anything

Every site here streams what other people are pulling. It is the cheapest research you will ever do.

Watch a box you are considering for five minutes and you will see its real distribution instead of its marketing. Mostly small cards. Occasionally something good.

Battles are the same idea at speed. Two to six people open the same box simultaneously and the best total takes everything, so you get to watch one box resolve several times in a single round.
