Our Values & Policies
To be clear here: we make money from ads and affiliate partnerships. On some list pages, placement can be influenced by commercial deals. When that happens, we label it clearly or let you know within the post. But be assured, our review scores and opinions are never for sale – editorial and partnerships are kept separate.
Editorial Policies
Our reviews are written with full editorial independence.
Writers disclose any relevant work or consulting relationships before they touch a story. For major reviews, we open real accounts, deposit our own money, check promos, fees, odds and payout rules, contact support, and verify withdrawals where possible. We keep test logs and archive screenshots so we can show our work.
Accuracy matters. Articles carry bylines and “last updated” dates, and we re-check pages when platforms change terms, payout rules, or support policies. If we miss something, email hello@betterchecked.com or let us know in the comments at the bottom of each page. We’ll verify, fix it, and note meaningful changes in the comments as well.
Every substantial piece goes through a simple but strict workflow: hands-on testing by the reviewer, an editor pass for clarity and completeness, then a senior review focused on accuracy and balance. A deep review usually takes 2–3 weeks end to end; minor updates are faster.
Even when we try to be as objective as possible, our reviews, lists and posts are biased. We use mystery box websites ourselves, and we like certain sites more than others.
Some sites on BetterChecked are marked as “Scam” or “Dangerous to use”. This is our personal opinion, but usually based on our own experience and conclusion. We strongly advise against using them.

We use AI to help with research compilation, data checks, and monitoring changes in terms or promos. AI doesn’t publish here – people do. A human reviews sources, verifies claims, and edits the final copy before anything goes live.
Some paragraphs, images or videos might have been influenced or created by AI, but usually not published without prior human approval or modification.
